Pre-cut Log Package |
- Each log is carefully milled to a uniform 7", 8", 9", 10" or 12" diameter leaving a smooth or hand-planed finish.
- Wall logs are coped using the swedish cope profile.
- All wall corner intersections are saddle-notched creating a secure stacking system.
- Wall log corner notches and structural 90-degree notches are pre-cut.
- Bottom plates, top plates, and structural logs are pre-flattened.
- Logs are cut to length with window and door openings pre-cut.
- Header and/or sill logs at window openings and gable rakes are cut on site. Some posts may need to be cut on site.
- Dado cuts are placed in the log ends at all end joints and at all window and door openings.
- Self-drilling log screws are used to fasten wall logs and are fastened according to engineering instructions to satisfy specific loading requirements.
- All-thread anchor bolt extensions are provided to attach bottom plate logs to the foundation.
